About
Welcome to the Midwest Academy Blog. For those of you who are unfamiliar with us, Midwest Academy is a specialty boarding school for troubled or struggling teens. The Mission of Midwest Academy is to create an environment that inspires and motivates students and families to be successful life-long learners. Our purpose is not to “fix” the student, but to bring a whole and happy family together.
If you’re curious about our school, currently enrolled, or formerly enrolled, we want to hear from you. We love updates from our graduates and their families. We have a very supportive community of parents if you just need to talk to someone who’s been there.
We wouldn’t be Midwest Academy without some rules for our blog.
- This is a public site. Please don’t use full names when refering to current or former students without their express permission.
- No foul language or inappropriate topics (you wouldn’t believe the stuff the spammers send. It’s truly disgusting).
- If you have a complaint, please contact us in person before you post it on the site. We always want the chance to hold ourselves accountable. Besides, wouldn’t you feel like a heel if you complained publicly and realized later you had made a mistake? It happens. If your issue isn’t resolved after going through the proper channels, feel free to post about it.
- This is not the place to ask for updates on your enrolled student. Please contact your family representative or parent orientation representative for updates.
- Unlike the Parent BBS, you may feel free to leave include your email address in your post. As I said earlier, though, this is a public site. Midwest Academy makes no guarantees or assurances of protection.
